July 29/2010: Two days to go before the trip and somehow the stuff Maria plans to take to Alaska has grown by at least a third. And yet it all seems essential. Mascara and lipstick are essential right?

Don't pack too much for your trip! Keep relaxed. You'll experience gravel. The highways in Alaska and the Yukon are always getting resurfaced, and that means stretches of 10km of gravel. :(
But you'll come to find it familiar after a while.
